We’re pretty much ready to go except for the million and a half things left to do. This weekend we’re meeting with the organist for the ceremony, meeting with my old friend Vanessa, who will be making our wedding bands and with the cake people… a nice full weekend. After that, still lots more to do.

I’m so excited about April 25th!

I’m very proud to announce that Jenny has agreed to marry me!

While in Quebec City for a much needed weekend getaway, I managed to pop the question without tripping over my words (too much). It wasn’t to graceful but I managed to croak it out before my voice totally cracked. After a couple of rounds of ‘are you serious’ and me assuring her that I was in fact, not kidding, Jenny answered ‘yes’.

I’ve been looking for months for the perfect diamond and the perfect ring. Once she had it on her finger, I gushed for about an hour on my adventures in diamond buying and ring hiding (I had to hide it from her until we got to Quebec City). After giving her way too much information on diamond cut/clarity/size/colour, we went to a fantastic dinner in a restaurant in Canada’s oldest house. The atmosphere was amazing and the company, superb.

Overall, we had a great weekend in a beautiful city. I recommend going and getting enguaged whenever you get the chance. We wandered the city for two days on foot and by tour-bus and didn’t even scratch the surface of what there is to see. Hopefully we can go back next year to take another crack at seeing everyting.

More details on the wedding plans to come…

~ Jason
